Pronostics
is a new and revolutionary medical diagnostics company formed
by the merger of SmartBead Technologies Ltd. and FingerPrint
Diagnostics Ltd. in June 2006. The combination of two advanced
technologies makes possible and accelerates the availability
of an entirely new class of medical diagnostics, ‘pronostics’,
also known as IVD multivariate index assays by the US FDA, based
on multiplexed biological profiling. Pronostics’ mission
is to revolutionise the provision of clinical diagnostics by
introducing rapid, cost-effective IVD solutions to measure hundreds
or thousands of analytes simultaneously, providing safe and reliable
diagnostics for diseases where it is currently difficult or impossible
to do so. Pronostics Ltd. was closed due to lack of funds during the financial crisis of 2008. |

contract research organisation spun out from the contract research
arm of TCP Innovations Ltd. early in 2007. They specialise in performing
clinical studies and metabonomic analysis, with the aim of working
closely with sponsors to help design and run the study exactly
as per the sponsor's requirements. |

Norfolk
& Norwich University Hospital NHS Trust provides a full range
of acute clinical services, including more specialist services
such
as oncology and radiotherapy, neonatology, orthopaedics, plastic
surgery, ophthalmology, rheumatology, paediatric medicine and surgery.
The study is being run by the Norwich Clinical Research and Trials
Unit (CRTU), which opened in October 2005. The CRTU employs nursing,
clerical and IT staff able to assist in the design and execution
of clinical trials and other clinical research. the CRTU is under
the direction of Dr. Neil Stanley while the Principal Investigator
at N&N is Dr. Leisa Freeman. |

Peterborough
and Stamford Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust
|
Peterborough
and Stamford Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is one of the country's
top performing NHS acute Trusts. On 1 April it became one of
the first ten NHS Foundation Trusts in England. Established in
1993 the Trust comprised two Hospitals, Peterborough District
Hospital and Edith Cavell Hospital. In 2002 Stamford and Rutland
Hospital joined the Trust. The Trust delivers patient care through
six service units. It employs more than 3000 staff and provides
acute medical, surgical and day surgery services for the people
of Peterborough and the surrounding district. Dr. Jo Porter is
the Principal Investigator at Peterborough District Hospital. |

Hairmyres Hospital is one
of the three District General Hospitals comprising the NHS Lanarkshire
hospital - the others being Monklands and Wishaw General. It has
434 inpatient beds and 20 day case places. Services also include
a full range of inpatient, outpatient, diagnostic and clinical
support services, Lanarkshire's only cardiac catheterisation centre,
MRI scanner and 60 psychiatric beds. Dr. Brian O'Rourke is the
Principal Investigator at Hairmyres Hospital. |

George's Healthcare NHS Trust

As well as the usual care
expected from an NHS hospital, St. George's Healthcare NHS Trust
is a leading national centre for more specialist care including
neurology, cardiac care and cancer. As well as St. George's Hospital
in Tooting, the Trust also runs the Bolingbroke Hospital in Battersea,
and the Wolfson Rehabilitation Centre in Wimbledon. The site in
Tooting is shared with St. George's University of London, which
trains NHS staff and carries out advanced medical research. Professor
Juan-Carlos Kaski is the Principal Investigator at St. George's
Hospital. |
